This course prepares acupuncturists, acupuncture students, and other health professionals to use acupuncture, ear seeds, essential oils, energetic exercises and other integrative medicine therapies to reduce pain and traumatic stress patterns. Practitioners from all countries are welcome!
Course topics include:
Trauma-informed care approaches/principles
Physiology of trauma (biomedical and energetic)
How and why somatic therapies like acupuncture are effective in trauma treatment
How to work with trauma patients
NADA 5 Point protocol for stress and trauma
Battlefield Acupuncture protocol for pain
Emotional Freedom Technique (tapping), HeartMath and Qigong to reduce trauma patterns
How to set up mobile clinics for vulnerable communities
Clinic safety
How to work effectively on treatment teams
How to use these protocols with other treatments in your clinic
Vicarious trauma and self-care
